Longtime Double Diamond Farm employee Henry Sexton passed away January 22 after a battle with cancer. Sexton was a valuable asset, having worked at the Ocala farm for about 20 years. He worked with mares and did all the foaling at the farm. He also helped manage the maintenance division.
Prior to working with Double Diamond Farm, Sexton worked at Crescent Farm in Kentucky as a foaling man. He also worked at Bwamazon Farm in the 1980s as their foaling man and night watchman.
Double Diamond Farm Manger Jimmy Alexander said, “He will be sorely missed. He was the best foaling man I ever worked with.” Sexton leaves behind his wife Pauline, daughter Christy and son Kenny, who works with the Double Diamond Farm mare division.
