Richard
Hancock has served as the Executive Vice President of the Florida Thoroughbred
Breeders’ and Owners’ Association since 1988. As the Chief
Executive Officer for the Association, which administers the $12 Million Breeders’
Incentive Fund and the Florida Thoroughbred registry, he is responsible for
the general promotion of the Florida Thoroughbred industry and representation
of the industry on legislative matters in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.
Mr. Hancock also serves as Executive Director of Florida Thoroughbred Charities,
Inc., which, since 1990, has distributed in excess of $2 million to charitable
organizations throughout the State of Florida and Ocala/Marion County and as
Executive Director of the Association-owned publications: The Florida Horse,
Wire To Wire and Horse Capital Digest. In addition, Mr. Hancock is a member
of the Board of Directors of the Florida Division of the Thoroughbred Retirement
Foundation and the Ocala/Marion County Chamber of Commerce.
