BARRY
EISAMAN
Barry
Eisaman, a lifelong horseman, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania
in 1976 with a degree in veterinary science. Upon graduation, he relocated to
Miami, where he practiced veterinary medicine on the South Florida racing circuit.
In 1982,
Eisaman moved to Ocala and shifted his focus to the breeding and training of
Thoroughbreds. His practice currently focuses on equine sports medicine. Eisaman
and his wife, Shari, own and operate Eisaman Equine. The 250-acre facility is
primarily a training operation for the Eisamans’ pinhooking business.
In addition,
they break and ready horses for the racetrack, as well as accept layups. They
also maintain a broodmare band of some 20 mares.
Eisaman Equine
graduates include graded stakes winners Proud Accolade, Alysweep, Meadow Flight,
Dice Dancer, Fightformylady, Things Change, Talks Cheap, Vegas Prospector, Diamondontherun,
Lucifer’s Stone, Mayakovsky, Rochelle’s Terms, Sea of Tranquility,
I’m Indy Mood and Wolf Alert.
Eisaman serves
as a director on the board of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company.
The Eisamans
have two children, Matt and Kristina.
